Albelli

Jitscale has designed and built a customer-specific infrastructure for Albelli, which is fully managed and pro-actively monitored by Jitscale.

About Albelli

Albelli (formerly Albumprinter, established in 2001) is the largest European photo album supplier, and operates in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, England and the United Status. Albumprinter has their own production facility in the Netherlands, producing for the entire European market. In 2007 Albelli has extended their operation and production to the United States.

Their wide experience resulted in very stable and user-friendly software, combined with a perfectly printed and bound product. Due to this, Albelli was announced Best Product by computer magazine “PC Magazine” (2005 and 2006),  newspaper “Algemeen Dagblad” (2005)  and consumer organisation “Consumentenbond” (2008). At the start of 2007 investment company Van den Ende & Deitmers invested in Albelli, by this creating the opportunity to expand internationally even more. Now people worldwide can create their own Photo album.

Albelli was in 2007 recognized as one of the fastest growing organisations by the renowned Dutch business magazine “FEM/Business”. In 2008 Albelli was one of the Red Herring Europe 100 Finalists. In 2008 Albelli won the Deloitte Technology Fast 50.

Albelli and Jitscale

For Albelli an infrastructure has been developed with maximum use of Jitscale’s multi-local set-ups.  Albelli uses Jitscale’s high quality infrastructure where in case of a hypothetical failure of an entire data centre, no downtime is caused for the application. This guarantees Albelli maximum uptime.

Logically all agreements are laid down in an extensive custom Service Level Agreement (SLA). On the basis of these agreements, periodic reporting will be used to not only understand the past but to also anticipate on the future.

Klaas Waslander, CTO of Albelli, is well pleased with the cooperation: “At selecting a technological partner for the future, different aspects are to be considered. Obviously there are continuity, security, liability and references, but these matters are not sufficient to Albelli.
Albelli also looks at all of these in combination with flexibility. This combination is hard to find in ICT services. Albelli’s rapid growth makes swift adapting and growing of major importance. In Jitscale we have found a party that offers continuity for our websites and CMS environment,  and that can meet with our grow expectations. So we are well pleased with this new cooperation.”
