Jitscale First ISO 27001-certified Cloud-over-Cloud IaaS-supplier

Jitscale has announced further expansion of its Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) and cloud management offerings. Targeting key growth markets globally, Jitscale has planned an international expansion to coincide with its recent ISO/IEC 27001 certification.

Based in Nieuwegein, the Netherlands, Jitscale is the world’s first Cloud-over-Cloud IaaS supplier to attain such certification. The company provides clients with support and infrastructure on Internet-related platforms by managing the entire scope, including the operating system and application and database layers, scaled on several clouds. Clients rely on Jitscale to manage their complete infrastructure, with the exception of client-specific applications and websites.

Since 2008, Jitscale has managed operations from two offices—one in Orlando, Florida and the other in the Netherlands. But to meet growing demand for its services, the company plans to open offices this year in San Francisco and New York. Further expansion targets the French, German, Austrian, Swiss, UK, Scandinavian and Benelux markets.

ISO/IEC 27001-certification

Jitscale officially attained its ISO/IEC 27001 certification on January 23. The ISO 27001-standard concentrates on a process-oriented approach to planning, implementation, application, control, evaluation and maintenance, as well as on the continuing improvement of information security management.

“Companies increasingly need to ensure proper security for their infrastructure,” said Eelco van Beek, Jitscale Founder and CEO. “And the managed service provider’s ability to securely store sensitive data is a key part in any integral security solution. Our ISO certification guarantees our ability to ensure security,” he added.

Jitscale offers clients the following unique functions and advantages:

  • complete scalable infrastructure and management; both components dynamically scale with need, eliminating over-capacity
  • unlimited capacity; the client only pays for computing, storage and band-width that is actually used
  • maximum scalability; Jitscale is the first cloud management system in the world enabling data scaling on several cloud providers
  • Optimal use of existing configuration; besides Cloud-over-cloud scalability, Jitscale also offers clients the possibility to reform their existing hardware into a cloud system, or even to build a hybrid intermediate solution
  • Jitscale Management Layer; an advanced management layer where clients’ wishes are translated into optimal configuration regarding capacity, availability, performance and flexibility.
  • Jitscale Content Delivery Network; brings, on an international level, all content as close to the user as possible, preventing latency, and optimizing website performance
  • permanent monitoring, continuous management; Jitscale manages and monitors all infrastructural- and application layers 24/7, 365 days a year.

Van Beek concluded: “We’re the world’s first cloud management provider to obtain the ISO/IEC 27001 certification partly because of our belief in the benefits of safely stored data, approachability in the cloud and a fully transparent process. Our certification isn’t an end in itself, but it’s certainly an important milestone in Jitscale’s commitment to delivering worry-free IT solutions.”
